HANS flexible diamond sanding pads are suitable for wet or dry grinding and polishing a large variety of hard materials including granite, marble, terrazzo, natural stone, engineered stone, glass, ceramics, lapidary, and hard metals. All flexible diamond discs, with various fittings for hand and stationary machines, are color-coded for easy grade identification with the most popular sizes and types available from stock.
Key Features:
-
Metal-Plated Bond: This secures the micron-graded diamond particles to the backing, ensuring long-lasting performance and consistent cutting power.
-
Aggressive Cutting with Reduced Loading: This design allows for quick and efficient material removal without the risk of excessive buildup or clogging, making it ideal for hard-to-grind materials.
-
Open Dot Pattern: This pattern enhances the lifespan of the pads while allowing for better flexibility, especially when working on contours or edges.
-
Heavy-Duty, Water-Resistant Polyester Backing: Ensures the pads are durable and can withstand the rigors of wet or dry grinding.
-
Versatility in Application: Suitable for flat, edge, and contour grinding and polishing, making it a good choice for projects that involve intricate surfaces or varying shapes.
-
Quick Change Roloc Discs: These allow for easy grade changes, speeding up the workflow and making it more efficient for both coarse and fine polishing.
Material Compatibility:
-
Stone: Works well with granite, marble, terrazzo, and natural stones.
-
Glass & Ceramics: Perfect for grinding and polishing glass and ceramic surfaces, which can be challenging with traditional abrasives.
-
Metals & Composites: Excellent for hard metals like carbide and other engineered materials.
-
Lapidary Work: Ideal for gemstone grinding and polishing, providing a fine finish on delicate materials.
Applications:
-
Wet or Dry Grinding: These pads are versatile, able to perform under wet or dry conditions, making them adaptable for various environments and materials.
-
Flat and Contour Surfaces: The pads perform excellently on flat surfaces as well as on edges and contours, giving flexibility to the type of work you can do (e.g., stone carving, jewelry polishing, glasswork).
-
Color-Coding for Easy Grade Identification: The color-coded system helps easily identify the grit and grade of each pad, ensuring you can quickly select the right tool for your task. This is especially useful for projects that require multiple grit stages (e.g., coarse, medium, fine) to achieve a smooth finish.
Ideal Usage Scenarios:
-
Stone Carving and Sculpting: Perfect for intricate stone works that require both aggressive cutting and fine detailing.
-
Glass & Ceramic Polishing: These pads are ideal for polishing glass and ceramics, leaving a smooth, high-gloss finish.
-
Metal and Composite Polishing: Great for polishing and finishing metals, composites, and even carbide materials that can be tough to work with.
